Learning Chinese is one of our students' favourite activities at School. It is very interesting and fun! In Chinese lesson Year 3Т students have learnt how to say: my nose, my face, my mouth, my ears, my hair.😎 They have also played different games to practise and remember these words 🇨🇳
💕 Today we had a chance to visit the Museum of Chocolate Manufacture, where students learned about the history of chocolate and witnessed the manufacturing process first-hand. 🤩 Year 4 and Year 6 were happy to try different types of chocolate. They agreed that, most of all, they liked Alenka🍫 It was considered by our expert tasters to be very sweet and delicious!
😍 What a wonderful day we had last Saturday! 🏃‍♂️We were gifted with a beautifully warm and sunny day, and what better way to spend it than playing football with our families. ⚽️ It was wonderful to see our pupils, both young and old, working together, learning together and playing together. 🥳 We can't wait until the next one!
😎 At Heritage International School, we educate the Leaders of Tomorrow. 🥰 Being a member of our Junior Leadership Team gives pupils real leadership experience through projects undertaken in school. Appointees applied for their posts and were interviewed by the Head of School. Our JLT have already been given their first projects, which they are expected to carry out independently. 👀 Keep an eye on our social media to learn more about what our JLT are doing!
🥰 On 1 October Heritage School started our new tradition of planting trees on our school grounds. 🌲 It was held to celebrate the beginning of our new academic year. 💥 Part of the money raised was used for buying the trees and the rest will be donated to the charity OneTreePlanted. 🤩 Thank you to all participants! It is a great honour to have such generous and kind community! 😉 If you wanted to participate and make donation without planting the tree but didn’t have a chance, please let Ms Anna or Ms Svetlana know. (Only for Heritage Students) 🙏 These trees will remind us of our Heritage!
🥳 "If a child cannot learn in the way we teach, we must teach in a way the child can learn." 😎 All the efforts and hard work you invested to bring out the best in Heritage Students can never be repaid in mere words. We can only feel grateful for having such teachers like you! 😍 Happy Teacher's Day, dear Heritage Family!
“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn” (Benjamin Franklin) In Ms Joanna's lesson our Year 3 pupils learned what happens to food after we have eaten it. Practical science lessons are absolutely crucial to the proper understanding of the world around us, and these approaches lie at the heart of the Cambridge International Curriculum.
😎 We’re glad to inform about our new unique educational program “Heritage Multisport”, created by professional sports schools. ⚾️ In the modern world, it is important to be ready for changes and an ever-changing community and society. Concentration is replaced by multi-concentration. The main goal of the program is to make sports an additional language of communication. Each course is a variety of sports that are combined into balanced modules. Each skill will help kids in mastering the next step. This year we started the 1st module with ♟ Chess, 🏐 Volleyball and 🏀 Basketball trainings. They are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 🧐 To learn more about Heritage Multisport, please, contact our Co-curriculum Coordinator ms Nailya by e-mail or fill out the form on reception.
😍 Our three core values are Respect, Responsibility and Growth Mindset. 😎 Every week, our secondary team will choose one person from across the three classes to receive awards for demonstrating each of these three values. 👍 The award is a certificate and ten house points, as well as the recognition which comes from having the award presented in assembly.
DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time and outside play are an essential part of our daily routine here at Heritage. 📚During DEAR time, the students develop their reading stamina, build up their vocabulary and enjoy reading shoulder to shoulder with friends. ⛹️‍♀️ Outside play is very important for a balanced development of our students as it enhances communication skills and the spirit of our school. 💕 These two activities align with our main values: Respect, Responsibility and Growth Mindset.
🎉 Today we had our first Assembly of the new study year at Heritage School! It was very successful, kids were very well behaved and listened really well! 👨‍🎓 The theme was - "Our daily routine". Each day when coming to school children have several things to do: have their temperature measured, take off their coats in changing room, enjoy their breakfast, clear their plates and follow to their class, being prepared to study! 📑 Children agreed that they can do the routine themselves - without help from parents, teachers and learning assistants. We'll always be there to support - but to support the children in doing this on their own. 👍 This is an embodiment of one of our core values - responsibility. By taking ownership of their school day and taking responsibility for getting to class, our children become more effective, proud and independent learners.
What joy and happiness to see our Heritage Family gathered at our school today! We were delighted to meet our old and new friends, to see their smiling faces and hear them laughing. We had a very interesting program today: stilts walker welcoming our children and their parents, delicious snacks and drinks, a warm welcome from our CEO, Head of School, Head Girl and Head Boy, a marvellous surprise piano performance from Mr Matthew and a song from our student Alina. We also built with huge LEGO and enjoyed amazing face painting. All the children met their new teachers and had their first fun lesson of the year. Thank you everybody for joining us and making this a day to remember.
