I was born in Cape Town, South Africa. I have been teaching since 2008, where my teaching career started at a public school in South Africa. I've taught in South Korea on two occasions where I also filled the role of Head Teacher at an English Village for two years. Most recently, until I moved to Russia, I was teaching in China at Canadian and British international schools respectively. I was the Head of Department for Physical Education at both schools. I’m a versatile teacher who always offers my services where needed. I have had the opportunity to teach students of all ages, ranging from kindergarten to university. I have vast experience teaching physical education and business studies. In addition I've also taught social studies, economics, accounting, and tourism.

The most exciting part of learning is to see how my students improve and grow during the year. I enjoy the "light bulb" moments where everything you taught to students come together and the reach the education objectives. The quote “failure is instructive” resonate with me because I believe students should be lifelong learners and they should not be afraid of making mistakes. I enjoy playing touch rugby and action cricket when the opportunity arises. I also enjoy cooking, especially BBQ (in South Africa we call it a “braai”). It’s quite a big part of South African culture to make a fire, invite friends over and grill some meat together. I enjoy watching good movies and listening to music and attending live shows.
