Ms Svetlana
Psychologist
Education
She graduated from Tyumen State University with a degree in Psychology, holding the qualification of "Teacher-Psychologist" and the highest qualification category. She also completed professional retraining in the programme "Organisational Management."
Ms Svetlana grew up in Tyumen. In 1997, after finishing university, she began her teaching career as a teacher-psychologist at a school in Tyumen. She worked at one of the city's top grammar schools as a teacher-psychologist and deputy head. From 2019 to 2024, she was the head of one of the schools in Tyumen.
Ms Svetlana has over 20 years of experience in psychology.
In 2015, Ms Svetlana became a laureate of the All-Russian Professional Skills Competition "Teacher-Psychologist of Russia," where she represented the Tyumen region. From 2008 to 2019, she led training platforms for teacher-psychologists in Tyumen and the Tyumen region; she also served as a jury member for the "Teacher of the Year" professional skills competition, in the "Teacher-Psychologist" category at both municipal and regional levels (2015-2023). Ms Svetlana is the author of several publications on methodological developments for training sessions, classes, and programmes to support participants in educational relationships. She sees her mission as a teacher-psychologist in teaching children to interact harmoniously with those around them, as harmony with oneself and others allows a person to be confident during external upheavals and to navigate their own unique life path.
"I once read V.A. Sukhomlinsky's words: 'If a child lives with hostility, they learn aggression; if constantly criticised, they learn hatred; if ridiculed, they become withdrawn; if raised with reproach, they learn to live with guilt. However, if a child grows up with tolerance, they learn understanding; if encouraged, they learn self-belief; if praised, they learn gratitude and faith in people.' These words have become my guiding principle in my work with children, parents, and teachers.
I realised that my profession is akin to being an ecologist of childhood because school is not only a place where children acquire knowledge and skills, ideals, and traditions but also where the child's personality develops as a whole. Supporting a young person as they grow is my main task and the core purpose of my work."
