Head of School Welcome
Welcome to Heritage International School,
Dear Heritage Community,
I am both honoured and thrilled to step into the role of Head of School. Over two decades, I have had the privilege to work across continents and understand educational needs from diverse perspectives. From Moscow to Malaysia, every step has enriched my understanding and deepened my commitment to educational excellence. From the historic streets of Moscow to the vibrant communities of Malaysia, every experience has deepened my commitment to educational excellence.
Heritage International School is more than just an educational institution; it's a beacon of learning and character development. We take immense pride in emphasising the importance of mutual respect in all our interactions, ensuring our community thrives on trust. Our strength lies in celebrating diversity, understanding that our differences make us stronger and more cohesive. Every student here is valued, not just for their academic abilities but for their character, their kindness, their ambition.
At Heritage, we are dedicated to personal and academic growth, striving continuously for excellence. We learn to understand the world around us and recognise our responsibility towards it, fostering a sense of environmental stewardship. And as we progress, the value of continuous, lifelong learning remains at the heart of our ethos.
As we move forward, I promise to:
- Foster an environment where these characteristics are front and centre in our teaching approach.
- Engage closely with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a holistic development approach.
- Continuously innovate and adapt, ensuring Heritage remains at the forefront of educational best practices.
Allow me to share a brief story that has stayed with me over the years. In one of my earlier roles, I encountered a student who was always brimming with curiosity. One day, he approached me with a simple yet profound question: "Mr. Kaye, why do we learn?" Taking a moment, I responded, "To understand the world better." He pondered and then replied, "And to make it better?" This has stayed with me. That interaction encapsulates the spirit I wish for every student: to not just acquire knowledge, but to use it positively to shape the world around them.
Parents, I value your partnership. Your insights are invaluable, and I look forward to interacting with you, whether it's at organised school events or spontaneous meetings at the school gates.
Together, let's set forth on this wonderful journey, ensuring every student at Heritage International School is not only academically adept but also possesses the character to navigate the world wisely.
Best Regards, Nicholas Kaye
